The TG-MET Center has been committed to the advancement of multidisciplinary minimally invasive surgery through educational initiatives and collaborative efforts. With the Thai and international fellowship training model, as well as the collaboration from many world-class expertise, including the Thai Society of Gynecologic Endoscopists (TSGE) and Asia Pacific Association for Gynecologic Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Therapy (APAGE), we achieved great pride in the significant improvements in training and patient outcomes that have resulted from our rigorous training programs, reflecting our dedication to enhancing healthcare practices.
In this commemoration event, Silver Jubilee, we take this opportunity to reflect on the thousands of professional gynecologists who have been trained by the center and the countless patients whose lives have been positively influenced by our training.

25 Years of the Thai-German Multidisciplinary Endoscopic Training Center (TGMET)
The celebration of the 25th anniversary of the TGMET not only marks the center’s long-standing existence and the invaluable service it has provided over the years, but also highlights the progress made in the field of endoscopic surgery in Thailand, Asia, and worldwide.
This achievement would not have been possible without the tireless dedication of organizers such as Prof. Pongsakdi Chaissilwatana, Prof. Amphan Chalermchokcharoenkit, and Prof. Korakot Sirimai, the dedicated staff members, and the supportive partners behind the scenes. Special recognition must also go to the industry partners, whose generous contributions have enabled the center to remain at the forefront of both technical and surgical advancements in this field.
The integration of fellowships for both national and international doctors has fostered a welcoming, family-like atmosphere, bringing together individuals from diverse medical, social, and cultural backgrounds and broadening their perspectives in the field of endoscopy. Fellows have benefited from hands-on training, including animal and cadaver labs, as well as observing real surgeries in hospital operating rooms, all of which helped them achieve high standards in medical knowledge and practical skills.
Frequent international conferences held at the state-of-the-art facilities of the training center have created a valuable platform for insightful discussions and knowledge exchange. Alumni of the fellowship program continue to actively participate in these educational events, contributing to the ongoing growth of the institution.
25 years is a generation, and I am firmly convinced that future generations will continue to develop and improve this remarkable institution.
Sincerely Yours,
Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. mult. Hans Tinneberg

25 Years of the Thai-German Multidisciplinary Endoscopic Training Center (TGMET)
I have been coming to Bangkok for this medical meeting for around two decades, and I have seen it grow into a wonderful event where knowledge is shared and gained.
It is a special place for me where I am always greeted by friends and always feel at home.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate TG-MET and the organizing team on putting together this wonderful congress and workshop. I have been coming to Bangkok for this medical meeting for around two decades and I have seen it grow into a wonderful event where knowledge is shared and gained. It is a special place for me where I am always greeted by friends and always feel at home.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of TG-MET. I congratulate all involved in this outstanding achievement. We would not have reached this achievement without the dedication of Professor Pongsakdi Chaissilwantana, Professor Hans Tinnenburg, Associate Professor Amphan Chalermchokcharoenkit, Associate Professor Korakot Sirimai, and, of course, all the dedicated faculty and staff of TG-MET.
In the time that we have been meeting, the world of laparoscopic surgery has seen rapid change. Over the past few years, we have seen the introduction of innovative techniques such as NOTES and robotics. These techniques represent the strides in surgery that offer patient-friendly results.
But with all these innovations, there are two basic tenets that remain the same- the surgeon and surgical anatomy. No matter what innovations come, the technical of the surgeon is paramount to the success of the surgery and the welfare of the patient. We must constantly strive to update and hone our skills in this ever-changing landscape. The understanding of surgical anatomy is the cornerstone of all surgery. To perform accurate and complete dissections, knowledge of anatomy and how to dissect in specific situations is vital.
In this light, I feel honored to have had the opportunity of holding cadaver dissection workshops at TG-MET for these past two decades. This important teaching opportunity not only serves those who attend, but those who gain knowledge from attendees. I’m very proud to be a part of this legacy.
This year we will, once again, have the pleasure of learning together and building bridges between our countries. My hope is that everyone here leaves with something new to take back and share with others back home.
I once congratulate TG-MET on the wonderful achievement of 25 years of education and service.
Sincerely Yours,
